WhyAway! (formerly Extra!) has been in use for over 20 years by select schools to engage students in advanced learning. An updated and expanded program is now available to schools in digital form.

 

The program has been developed by Jeanne Hoversten, who holds a BA and MA in English Literature, has completed a graduate teacher licensure program, and additional graduate coursework in gifted/talented education. She has over 25 years of experience in direct student instruction, teaching courses from the elementary grades through the college level. For the past eighteen years, she served as an Enrichment Coordinator at a kindergarten - eighth grade school and enjoyed working with countless talented and enthusiastic students.
